The two X52 Pro components work flawlessly with either flight simulator type, but for now I only test is with Windows 10 and macOS Sierra with X-Plane (of course). This X52 Pro review is worth checking out on its own. Long story short, this review deals with the X52 Pro set and I don’t have any intention of comparing the two. The X52 Pro joystick can move and therefore doesn’t need these kinds of sensors. Your force is sensed by integral sensors and that gives a Flight Simulator an output for roll, pitch or yaw.

next time you visit such a store, take the cable with you and match it up to what's on offer, you will probably be able to find a longer cable too, the stock Saitek one is only just long enough and no more for my needs.įor what its worth, I bent the pins on mine too and straightened them with tweezers and the aid of a magnifying glass, you have to be careful when aligning them as they will bend easily, they really should be more robust. I know they stock suitable better quality replacements in the electrical Maplins store in the UK, there are bound to be similar stores in the US.

The Throttle and Stick are linked by a cable and I think the plug design is called DIN or PS2 type plugs but I may be wrong, its a common design though and you should be able to find a cheap replacement cable cheaply very easily if you cant get a replacement from Saitek. Hi Bill, bit confused here, some are talking about the Yoke, but you seem to be talking about the HOTAS X52pro? Though the Saitek Yoke and its throttle quad also have the same type of plug (the optional throttle quad is USB)
